UdoM launches initiative "UM DIA COM OS MEDIA" to celebrate Freedom of the Press Day

"Um  Dia Com Os Media" promoted by the Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Sociedade of the University of Minho, the National Commission of UNESCO; the Conselho Nacional de Educação; the Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social and the Gabinete para os Meios de Comunicação Social will be held on 3 May in Portugal.

It aims to pay particular attention to the relationship between average citizens and the media with the intention of strengthening action and reflection with respect to the subject of ML.

Participation in "Um Dia Com Os Media" is free and open to anyone interested in reflecting on and answering the question: What is the significance of the media in our lives and how can the media become more significant?

The new form of participation is to perform an activity: a game, a creative act by which the answer to the question posed is given. People can answer through words - straightforward and live - or through sound, image, multimedia, using traditional media or taking advantage of social networks and new technologies to make their voice heard.
